GranCorp operates under GranCorp Inc. and GranCorp Holdings, LLC
Real Estate Background
The company has owned several real estate companies and many trophy buildings since its inception in 1985. In 1985 GranCorp together with a few other publicly traded organizations acquired the Vance Corporation. Vance corporation owned several hotels and office buildings downtown Seattle. The office buildings were sold to one of the partners in exchange for full ownership of the two hotels which were formed in to a company called West Coast Hotels. West Coast Hotels grew during the next few years to become one of the leading full service hotel chains on the United States West Coast. It was sold to management of the company in the early 1990's as part of the mandate from the then current owners to sell off assets to help strengthen its financial situation in Sweden.
